Product Designer

San Francisco Bay Area

As a Product Designer at Praisidio, you will help make our product easy to use and valuable. Working on a small team, you will have a direct impact on our company's success by helping make data insights understandable and actionable for our users. Our product requires more investment in UX (research, flows, information architecture, and user-centred design) to help make that happen.

What you’ll do

  • Conduct ongoing research to guide product decisions
  • Create flows and designs that are intuitive and help users achieve their goals 
  • Evaluate existing design patterns and flows, and provide recommendations on how to improve them
  • Conduct usability testing to validate potential design solutions 
  • Collaborate with a small product team to ship and iterate 
  • Create and maintain a Figma design library and work with engineering to create a cohesive and scalable product design system 

Who you are

  • Aligned with our mission to improve employee work-life and solve attrition
  • 3-4 years of experience in UI/UX design for web applications
  • Comfortable being a solo designer and UX expert on the team
  • Have an outstanding portfolio of work showing your design thinking, UX process and polished UI designs
  • Experienced in conducting a variety of UX research methods and techniques
  • An excellent communicator, with an ability to ask why and articulate design rationale
  • Experienced and comfortable conducting customer interviews
  • Strong proficiency with Figma
  • Able to adapt and incorporate processes depending on the needs of the project
  • Organized and inclined to create documentation where needed
  • Biased towards continuous learning and skill development
  • Live and work within EST to PST time zones

Nice to haves

  • Product skills (product thinking, product strategy)
  • Startup experience, or experience in a role in an unstructured environment where you were responsible for setting your day-to-day priorities
  • Interest or experience in designing for Accessibility
